Refunds on Downgrades from Paid to Free for Members

If we were to allow a member to downgrade from a Paid membership to a Free membership will they receive a refund automatically? And will it be prorated?

New customer signs up for “Awesome Yearly Plan for $100” on Oct 2, 2019.
Customer then decides that they hate the Awesome Yearly Plan on Oct 15, 2019 and clicks a button to switch to a “Lousy Free Account for $0.00”.

They are effectively initiating an immediate cancellation in Stripe. However, will MS also initiate a refund?

Hi @jmatias, neither Stripe nor MemberStack will issue a refund in that case. You would need to manually initiate a refund directly in Stripe.
